Jaime Hewat
Jaime Hewat (they/them) is the Community Engagement Coordinator for Brightside Community Homes Foundation.
Jaime fosters meaningful resident engagement by developing initiatives that promote social connection, well-being, and community leadership. Their work includes facilitating partnerships with community organizations, coordinating resident-led activities, and supporting projects and programs such as those that address food security, digital literacy, and emergency preparedness.
With an educational background in social work, Jaime is dedicated to trauma-informed practice, social justice, and fostering resilient, engaged communities where residents feel supported and connected.
Brightside carries out an annual community enhancement survey to assess residents’ happiness and well-being. Based on this, they are supporting a number of Community Development initiatives designed to build resilience and community amongst residents.
