Stacy Barter
Stacy is a social innovation specialist who plays a dual role as HNC’s Director of Learning and Evaluation, and the Executive Director of Building Resilient Neighbourhoods, one of HNC’s practice partners.
Stacy provides Collective Impact coaching support and leads the Collective’s Developmental Evaluation processes, supporting Community of Practice partners to engage in ongoing learning and reflection, and harvesting it to inform knowledge dissemination and scaling strategies.
Through these processes, evaluation and learning is conducted in real-time so that demonstration partners can iterate and refine their approaches for deeper impact.
Stacy brings over 20 years of experience working with a wide range of communities, non-profit, and public sector organizations in Canada and Latin America. Outside of her role with the Collective, she is a CMHC-vetted Solutions Lab Consultant who has supported numerous social innovation processes across Canada. Stacy specializes in multi-sector collaboration, community resilience, and the links between climate change, human health and healthy communities. She has co-led the development of the “Connect and Prepare” program, in addition to a number of other community resilience initiatives through her work with Building Resilient Neighbourhoods.
Stacy lives in Lekwungen territory on Vancouver Island with her family and backyard chickens.
