Ghazaleh Akbarnejad
Ghazaleh holds a B.Sc and M.Sc in architectural engineering, with more than five years of experience working in consulting engineering sector as an architect. Currently, her focus is on urban studies and planning, doing a master’s program at Simon Fraser University.
Ghazaleh’s research and design interests include community housing, neighbourhood, public space, and place-making. She is interested in using her research and design skills to improve well-being of communities and to tackle social and environmental challenges through programming and the built-environment evaluation and intervention. She finds creative and efficient ways to engage communities in this process, including underrepresented populations.
She is also into visual arts and enjoys painting.
