Claire Dreyfuss
Claire Dreyfuss is currently pursuing her master’s degree in urban studies at SFU. She discovered a passion for housing while working for CMHC in their innovation and partnership division. Her interests lie primarily with issues of inequality and affordability in housing, and in how alternative housing models can support more vulnerable populations.
Her research focuses on the social and physical environmental benefits of ageing in place for older adults in housing co-operatives. Claire is working to explore these topics further in collaboration with Hey Neighbour Collective and the Co-operative Housing Federation of British Columbia.
Claire’s skill set includes amongst other things, translating data into actionable insights, managing stakeholder engagement, and supporting evidence-based decision-making. She combines urban research and systems thinking to help solve complex problems, inform policy, and drive innovation.
In her spare time, Claire loves the mountains at all seasons, baking extravagant creations, going to concerts, and will tell anyone she meets to go skydiving at least once!
