Farinaz Rikhtehgaran

Farinaz is a Research Assistant with Hey Neighbour Collective studying social interaction and ageing in place among multi-unit building residents.

Originally from Iran, she moved to Canada in 2021 to pursue a second master’s degree in Gerontology at Simon Fraser University. Having a background in Urban Planning and Design, she is interested in developing age-friendly cities and communities. She conducts research on the walkability and accessibility of urban neighbourhoods for immigrant older adults and people with disabilities.

In her free time, Farinaz enjoys walking, listening to podcasts, watching TV series, and trying foods from other cultures.
